Throughout the last 40 years Sorbilite, Inc. and Sorbilite GmbH have invested all their time and resources into developing a patented and award winning recycling system. The goal was to reuse materials such as wood residue, ground tires, agricultural remnants and convert them back in high quality, cost-effective, beautifully crafted, finished products.



This was achieved through a patented press, a unique mold making system and extensive composite know-how creating the “Integrated Composite Forming System”.

The composite created is called Plastron®. The products manufactured out of Plastron® have unique characteristics.

• Every core particle is saturated with water-resistant glue, giving better properties than virgin wood.
• The impact-resistant, non-porous surface of the product is a decorative skin, for interior and exterior use.
• The product has a moisture resistant backing.
• The products are finished; no painting or staining is required.
